Greetings my friends! I am sitting here in my recliner and pondering on the thought, “Have I looked into the mirror lately??” Now, of course I don’t mean that literally! Yes, I have brushed my hair and put some makeup on. I am instead more curious in whether I have really looked at myself , and if I have, then what am I seeing. The Lord laid on my heart this morning that in my own life, and in the lives of my relationships, I should be able to see Him shining through. I began to wonder, Do I see Jesus when I look into the mirror of my life? How about you? Do you see Jesus in your mirror? He began to show and tell me that all relationships are meant to represent an aspect of who He is. God is a god of humor, laughter, love, gentleness, kindness and so very much more. Sometimes we are so wounded and down on ourselves that we can’t see Him at all in us. If this is speaking to you, I would love to hear from you. I would love to be able to share His truth with you and just maybe we can change what you are seeing. I hope this blesses you and motivates you to look at yourself and your relationships. May God bless you and keep you and may He make His face to shine upon you and may He give you peace in Jesus’ name.

2 Corinthians 3:16 – 18 NLT

16 But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, then the veil is taken away. 17 Now, the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, he gives freedom. 18 And all of us have had that veil removed so that we can be mirrors that brightly reflect the glory of the Lord. And as the Spirit of the Lord works within us, we become more and more like him and reflect his glory even more.

The other day while driving home I asked my children this very question. I felt impressed upon by the Lord to ask them and to hear what they had to say. My daughter who is 15 gave me what I call a christianese answer; ”I know God is good because I woke up this morning.” Now, that would be a great answer if she was a new believer, however she has been saved for 9 years! I told her to think about it some more and to give me a new testimony. For those of you with inquiring minds, you will be thrilled to know that she came back to me with a beautiful, real, and personal reason as to why she could personally say that God is good!!!! I believe it is important for us to ask each other what God is doing in our lives. We should always have something new and fresh to testify about. My heart is to help and encourage women to open up and let God speak to them and heal them. As women and moms we play a huge role in the success of the generations to come. We need to be able to nurture and love those whom God has put in our lives – not only to those whom we have given birth to, but to others that God has entrusted to us to train up and exhort. What an awesome responsiblity this is!
